THE BLACK SHEEP SYRAH – MERLOT 2015

Dry Red Wine
Protected Geographical Indication Mount Pangeon

The Black Sheep, an eccentric name for a product that stresses out its diversity and particularity. Its thoroughly modern philosophy is evident from its contemporary appearance, its screw cap and its characteristic freshness. It is produced at the Mackedon Winery at Platanotopos, Kavala, while the vineyards are found in a small distance.

The Black Sheep red wine is made from the varieties Syrah and Merlot, which cultivation has offered satisfactory results.

Wine with vivid ruby red color with purple highlights. Intense aromas of ripe red fruit and plum coming from Merlot varietal combined with the most pleasing spicy aromas of Syrah. Full-bodied wine with a spicy mouth, good acidity and aftertaste and harmony between the acidity and the tannins. Served at 15-18°C, it is a worthy accompaniment to red meat, braised meat casserole, refreshing green salads and pungent cheeses.
